Wellness and Wellbeing are the new buzz words, the new black if you like. If you aren’t engaging in some form of wellness activity then we’d like to know where you’ve been hiding?...Just kidding, but also not. Wellbeing is rightfully becoming something that you can’t ignore however, the word itself is not always very well defined and can leave some people scratching their heads at what it really means therefore, we thought we’d just spend a little bit of time clearing this up.
Walking meditation is a simple practice for developing calm, connectedness, and embodied awareness. It can be practiced before or after sitting meditation or any time on its own! The art of walking meditation is to learn to be aware as you walk, to use the natural movement of walking to cultivate mindfulness and wakeful presence.
It is so easy to forget how important it is to live in the moment, with no distractions, no anxiety, no phones, no pressure. We also forget the positive impact being more present has not just with our own sense of self but also for the ones we surround ourselves with.
